Making Headway Peer Support Programme

Making Headway is a 10-week facilitated peer support programme aimed at enhancing the well-being of individuals affected by brain injury.

This programme provides a space for people to connect, share their lived experiences, and learn from one another.

Each week covers a different topic related to living well with brain injury, guided by a trained facilitator to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

The programme is grounded in research on peer support following brain injury and is embedded with the principles of Te Whare Tapa Whā. A non-clinical programme focusing on building strong relationships between peers-people who have experienced similar challenges.
