Making Headway Peer Support
Peer Support
Peer support is rooted in mutual understanding of living with brain injury —it’s support by people, for people. Our Peer Support groups create space for people to connect, share their lived experiences, and learn from one another.
Headway delivers a variety of peer support services including:
-
Making Headway – a 10-week structured facilitated programme
-
Peer-Led Connect Groups – peer-led support groups run fortnightly or monthly in local communities.
-
Tertiary Group - brings together young adults studying at tertiary level to support and learn
-
Whānau Support – bringing together whānau to support each other.
-
Headway Endorsed Community Activities – community activities and groups who have received Headway training.
