Cycling their way to support Headway

  • 5 December 2022

Congratulations and thanks to Andrew and Maxime Farrimond who completed the BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge on 26th November, finishing in 2 hours 13 minutes with Maxime coming 12th in her category and Andrew 18th in his.

The Cycle Challenge is New Zealand’s largest cycling occasion, and arguably one of the country’s largest sports participation events welcoming around 5,000 riders and over 7,000 supporters who converged on the Taupō region.

With a philosophy of inclusion, the BDO Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge offers a wide variety of options to get on your bike and be part of the annual pilgrimage to one of New Zealand’s longest and most established events, which celebrated it’s 44th running in 2022.

We are delighted that Maxime and Andrew chose to support Headway, Brain Injury Auckland, as they prepared for and completed the event. They have commented that they plan to do it all again next year - this time with a few more people joining their team!

Well done Maxime and Andrew! You did so well and we are proud of your efforts, not only for the  supreme efforts in training and competing, but also fort your magnificent effort to raise $550 to support Headway!
