Support is the primary function of Headway: Brain Injury Auckland. Our charity was formed in 1981 by a group of parents, partners and other carers who found little support in the community post injury. The need for support continues today.

The brain injury landscape is complicated and in the early stages people don’t know where to go for advice, how to request assistance and how to deal with a host of practical consequences. Our liaison officers are available to help you navigate this landscape.
Education
Brain injury is a 'hidden' disability and there is still a lot of misunderstanding about its nature and consequences. We look to promote awareness and understanding about brain injury in the community using a variety of methods.
