Providing support, navigation and education to Aucklanders affected by brain injury.
Support
Support is the primary function of Headway: Brain Injury Auckland. Our charity was formed in 1981 by a group of parents, partners and other carers to provide support in the community post injury. The need for support continues today.
Support Groups
We run a number of support groups, providing both well informed advice and companionship with people who understand the trials and tribulations of living with the effects of a brain injury.
Navigation
The brain injury landscape is complicated and in the early stages, people don’t know where to go for advice, how to request assistance and how to deal with a host of practical consequences. Our liaison officers are available to help you navigate this landscape.
